In the last few weeks we've been running a little crazy! The first big thing I missed blogging about was Valentine's Day. I got an early gift from Joe...a trip to IKEA!!! I had been wanting to go, and then one day Joe just said "we could go there for V-day." I was sooo excited. It was amazing. Changed my life. Now I'm hooked. Then on Valentine's Day I woke up and started finding little "Cars" Valentines all over the place...on Liam's changing pad, in the fridge, in a bottle...all from Liam saying things he was thankful for in having me as a mom. I heart you kid (and big kid who helped with the handwriting!)
On to now having a 4 month old. I had no idea that a few weeks could generate so much "excitableness." Liam is now on the move...with nowhere to go! He gets so frustrated when all he can do is roll over all the way across the room. He wants to be up and running! He's so happy these days, laughing at everything and trying his hardest to get everyone to look at him and smile, especially Daisy. They're getting to be best buds.
Next item...kitchen redo. What started as a simple paint job ended with a fight with the microwave and a new shelf (mainly to cover the big hole left by the fight with the microwave). I guess being home a lot you start to see things that you'd like to change, and I noticed the kitchen was kind of dark. So we brightened it up with paint, and then taking the gargantuon microwave out helped too! Now we just need a new microwave....
Last week we got to go on a little Chucktown getaway...we visited with a church down there that found out about Radius and wanted to get us down there to see about some partnering opportunities. Who could turn down Chucktown and a dinner cruise? It was a fun time with the Carnes!
We also apparently have a ladies man on our hands. He is one of few boys born around the same time of about 4 girls in our midst. Liam was chatting up one of the girls at a party the other day, then held another girl's hand, and then that night held ANOTHER girl's hand. YIKES!
Check out the rest of the pics of all the happenings...PS. Sorry such a long post but I had to get it all in before Liam woke up!
