The Lord's Prayer...

I'm one of those people that kind of takes things at face value...not really a thinker I guess? So every day when Liam and I read from his Bible I love how this translation speaks to the kids...and me too! We have the Jesus Storybook Bible, and we absolutely love it. The translation into stories is great for the little ones to understand, but it doesn't leave out all the "meat" of the gospel like most Bible story books do...Check it out...we HIGHLY recommend it!

ANYWAYS...this was from yesterday's reading...and I thought it was so great I wanted to share. We all know this prayer, but do we really understand what the words mean? Here's The Lord's Prayer...

Hello Daddy!

We want to know you.

And be close to you.

Please show us how.

Make everything in the world right again.

And in our hearts, too.

Do what is best-just like you do in heaven.

And please do it down here too.

Please give us everything we need today.

Forgive us for doing wrong, for hurting you.

Forgive us just as we forgive other people when they hurt us.

Rescue us! We need you.

We don't want to keep running away and hiding from you.

Keep us safe from our enemies.

You're strong, God.

You can do whatever you want.

You are in charge.

Now and forever and always!
