It's hard. And it shouldn't be. The End.
No really though, why does it cost so much to adopt? It really shouldn't be a time to worry about money and how the lack of it can affect how you grow your family. Ok. Rant over. (this is what waking up at 5:00 does to a person. Namely me.)
During my research about adoption grants and loans this morning I found a few good ones I thought I'd share for others looking into adoption or are in the fun waiting period.
First up: Grants. Obviously they're like gifts. You apply for them and you get what you get.
I came across one for Southern Baptist Ministers...
And then I decided to look into loans for some other options. A great looking one is the ABBA Fund. It's a Christian organization and they have what they call "covenant loans" where there is no interest and no collateral. You just apply and if they have funds available, I guess at that point you'd enter into an agreement with them?
And another loan organization is America's Christian Credit Union.
It looks like your run of the mill adoption loan.
And then this adoption agency's site has a great list of other places to apply for grants and loans...I haven't checked them all out yet.
Hope this helps!
