Mountains...

Last weekend we were able to go stay at a mountain house that some family members own. It was great! Just the right amount of time to get away, and then be excited to get home. The good kind of vacation. And whether I thought it would be fun/different or I was just lazy, the only photos we took were through Instagram...the best app of all time!

1. After a mild panic that the only restaurant around (or so we thought) was closed, we stumbled upon a great little BBQ place that was having it's grand opening. A-mazing. Boog thought so too. 

2. I want one. They're all over the place up there. This dude is from Ontario. Eh?

3. Sweet ride for kiddos at the Food Lion.

4. We decided to check out Grandfather Mountain. There's a pretty sweet walking bridge between the peaks, but alas, it was $18 PER PERSON! Wha? So we just went on up to the trailhead to hike.

6. And he's out. Before we even got on the trail. 

7. 2 hours later. Still out. 

8. Since he slept through what was supposed to be fun for him, we found a pretty awesome playground on the way back to the house. It was on the side of a mountain! 

9. Next day. Checking out some caverns. Fell asleep again. Seriously?

10. We found out we were very close to the original Mast General Store. If you know us you know we had to find it. So we did. 

11. FREE AT LAST!!! Dude did great in the car seat all weekend..but boy did he have some pent up energy!

12. So we decided to let him explore the little creek out back of the Mast General. He loved it...once he got over the shock of how cold the water was.
