This weekend we were so blessed by the people in Allendale. We took about 30 people from Radius down to help some of our brothers and sisters with some spiffing up of their church building, one group helped build a handicap ramp, and another group got to help out around the town raking leaves and such.
It was so incredible how much hospitality was shown by the people down there. Specifically how the different churches and congregations blessed us in different ways, whether it was allowing us to worship with them, feeding us, giving us a place to stay, or allowing us to blare our worship music louder than that little church has probably ever heard before!
Although everything about the weekend was amazing (still reeling from Passion, now this???) I do think my favorite thing was getting to participate in the celebration to remember Martin Luther King Jr. We gathered down at the town hall, along with a ton of the towns people, and celebrated what Dr. King truly was about. We heard from some great people all weekend that he wasn't about black or white, but about true equality, and mostly about Jesus Christ and spreading his word. His platform in doing that just happened to be racial inequalities, but his message spoke louder and still speaks today. We as a church need to ban together and rise up against all forms of injustice that is still going on in out world, showing the world the love of Christ. We got to fellowship for a while, then we got to join hands and walk down to the oldest African American church in Allendale, all the while singing praises to God. Crazy awesome!
We are so thankful to be able to have met these great people, and to start a relationship that hopefully will be long lasting, with many visits!
Bubba had a great weekend it seems as well! Nana came down for the first part, and he was sure to be granted his every wish and command! Then he got to go on his first sleepover with friends! He apparently wants a big sister, or just a clone of Frankie! And he seems to think Braxton and Lil are his big bro and sis as well....so cool to have friends that are like family!

Glad y'all had fun and wish I couldve gone... And I heard about what happened with that cop, so rude. If only he new how amazing you are. :)
