Paper roses...

In my abundant spare time (ha!) I finally finished a project that I have been wanting to do for so long! I found my inspiration on a blog I found through StumbleUpon.com. I cut pages out of an old book, which was Little Women. I chose this book for one because I found it for 50 cents at a yard sale, and for two because it was the first chapter book I ever read. Next, you spiral cut them, wrap them in on themselves, and dab hot glue. Then you've got your rose buds! So I found some sticks in the yard and glued my rose buds to it....kind of like a rose bush made of paper! I needed something for my lonely vase that I love....now it has a friend!
