We just got back from taking our students on our Fall Retreat to Awanita Valley Christian Retreat. It was so much fun! And I think the students had a great time too! The weather was amazing, cool in the morning, warm in the afternoon, cool again at night. We rode horses, Hummers, paddleboats, did the ropes and obstacle courses, zip line, and waterslide. Other than the Hummer rides, I think the mud pit was the biggest hit. For some reason, no other church was playing in it...our kids went around giving "free hugs" (muddy hugs) afterwards. Each night we built a campfire to have devotional around and each morning we woke up and had quiet time. It was such a pretty setting to break away from the real world..literally...there was no cell phone service what-so-ever. I was a little freaked out. Anyway...check out the pics!
