Adoption update...

Hey Everybody,

We wanted to give you all an update on our adoption, since we are so thankful that you have been praying and supporting us in this process. We got word a few days ago that the birthmom who chose us was having a hard time making the decision final. We met with her again, and all seemed well. However, she was still struggling, and today we were told that she has decided to parent this baby.

We are glad that the decision has been made, as we were on an emotional rollercoaster waiting for this baby. All along we have known that this situation could occur, so we weren't completely thrown off guard. We have also had a few days to process and pray about it, so we are still hopeful in all of this! We know that God is completely in control and that our baby is still out there!

Logistically, this means that we go back to the waiting list. We begin receiving the emails about potential babies. Also, if birthmoms choose directly from books, the agency will be including us in the books they are showing again. It's kind of like we're back to how we were before we knew about this, back to the beginning.

We know that you probably have questions, so please know that you don't have to be quiet about this around us. Don't feel the need to "tip toe" around the subject. We also ask that you please continue to pray for us, as we're alright now, but it may get harder as this process continues. And please continue to pray for our future baby and the birthmom! Finally, please pray for the baby and birthmom that we already met....she's about to embark on a huge journey too and prayers are always needed!

Thank you so much for being a part of our lives! We realize that we definitely would not be able to get through all of this without you all! We are definitely blessed because of you and your friendship!

  2. I'm so sorry! We were so excited, too. In the hard moments, God may seem silent but He is there, holding you and comforting. I will be praying fervently for you and for your baby. I wish we were close enough to hug you both right now.

  3. Oh my goodness, I'm in tears right now! I hate to hear this, but you're right, God has a baby already picked out for you, and has all along. I can't wait to see you through this journey. I am so sorry and hope He blesses you with a child soon!
