It's Official!

Joe and I have been praying/thinking/discussing about something for a long time. And we have finally come to a concrete decision. We have decided to adopt! We're so very excited about it! We have just recently made the formal decision, so we don't know any of the details yet, such as if we're going to go international or domestic. We have friends who have gone both routes, and we want to talk with them and get some information about each so we can try to interpret what God would have us to. Of course, it will be a while either way. Most international countries want you to be 25 years old. So this will hopefully give us time to get a better on the details such as financial aspects, legal aspects, as well as emotional ones. We're definitely going to need a ton of support from everybody we know in this! We'll keep the blog updated with the progress as we make some more decisions and things progress farther. If you're interested, a book that has helped us formalize our decisions and we recommend to all is Adopted For Life by Russell Moore. We feel that this book explains a lot of our thoughts/feelings about why we're doing this, so if you have a chance, please read whether or not you will be closely involved in this process or would just like to understand adoption a little better.
