Saturday Cherith invited us to the 6th Annual Soggy Bottom Syrup Festival. Yes, we know, the name says it all. AWESOME! It was definitely our kind of fun. This family has this amazing land on the river and each year they cut down the cane and make cane syrup for everyone. Everybody brings pot luck food, which is my all time fav! Then, to top it all off, there is a potato gun competition. Yes, a potato gun competition...complete with a Mr. Potato Head trophy for the winner. It made for a great day out in the country, by the river, with some good ol' folks.
