Long time no post....We've been really busy the last few weeks. Big highlights were Kirby and Maryiln Player's wedding. Both Joe and I lived with Kirby our last year at Clemson, and we learned the amazing story of their love while living there. Kirby and Marilyn met while at Clemson 25 years ago. Marilyn was called to be a missionary in Turkey, but she got cancer a few years ago and came back for treatment. They met up again by chance, and started to date. They were dating when Joe and I lived with Kirby, and it was really fun to hear Kirby talk about Marilyn and how he had been praying about her for 25 years and now they are finally married. On their wedding program was an entry from her diary about Kirby, along with one of the entries from Kirby's diary about her. His prayer was for God to finally give him his "most perfect princess." Little did he know that it would be Marilyn Pilgrim Player "MPP" as in "most perfect princess." The wedding was incredible. After 25 years of being single and waiting to be married, these two were ecstatic, and it flowed out into the crowd. Joe and I have never had so much fun at a wedding, and we bet it's just a picture of what their lives have to come. Another fun thing lately was our birthdays. We celebrated together during the week, but on Saturday we went to Carowinds and saw Sonfest, a music festival with contemporary christian artists like Run Kid Run, Red, Hawk Nelson, Switchfoot, and Third Day. Switchfoot and Third Day were absolutely amazing to see live...we're thinking about going to see them in Atlanta later on this year. Anyway...the pictures at the top and videos are from the wedding and our weekend at Carowinds and home.....
