Prayer is amazing...

Last night Joe and I were a part of something we've never experienced before. We went to the prayer meeting of the elders/founders of Radius Columbia. We didn't really know what to expect, and to tell you the truth I was a little nervous. I'm not good at praying out loud, I always think too hard and can't be truthful with God. Anyway, after John gave us some things to pray/think about, we split up into groups. We got with one of the couple's we've met, Eddie and Keeva. Everyone, about 20ish of us, were in the same room, and each group just prayed about the situation at hand or anything that came to us. It was amazing hearing a whole room full of believers confessing and asking God for guidance and knowledge. Honestly, I thought it would be a huge ordeal inside myself since I'm nervous about praying in public, but it was so cool. I don't think I've ever felt as free and open with mostly strangers as I did last night. God definitely let me know that I needed to be there at that moment. Also, as Joe and I have found out in the last couple of weeks, I think we both fully understood why we are in Columbia. We thought the world was ending when we had to move; we thought our spiritual lives were crashing down because we had to leave Grace. Now its like this totally new perspective has been shown to us. We were so focused on one way, the only way we knew, to worship. Now, this church here has shown us that we needed so much more, and Radius is giving us what we didn't even know we needed. It's great to see God moving in your life, but also humbling when you remember how much you doubted!
